Localization Changes in Mega Man Star Force

There are multiple Localization Changes made for the Mega Man Star Force series as they made their way to regions outside of Japan.
Mega Man Star Force
North American version changes
- The menu voices have been changed and re-voiced.
- All content regarding the Boktai Crossover has been removed. This includes 18 Standard Battle Cards, 2 Mega Weapons (FM Bracelet and SF Power), and Brother Bands that can add Charge+ to MegaMan's buster.
- Once a Brother Band with Lunar Knights is made, 4 Red Mystery Waves will appear throughout the game that can only be opened by sending a Sun Key from Lunar Knights.
- Multiple LK items can be found in Green Mystery Waves. Battle Cards and special items that can be E-Mailed for use in LK. Additionally, multiple MMSF items can be found in Lunar Knights that can be sent to MMSF.
- All interaction with the Wave Scanner toy cannot be accessed. This includes Power Up Data and powering up Battle Cards in battle.
- The Wave Scanner toy could connect with the microphone port on the DS, DS Lite, and DSi and send the game progress to give MegaMan extra stat boosts. The Scanner must also connect with the Transer toy for the full LV99 boost.
- If the Scanner is still connected in battle, real-life Battle Cards can be scanned and depending on the cards, it can power up existing cards in the Custom Screen or replace them.
European version changes
- The menu is no longer voiced. All menu voice lines are removed.
- The S. Fist Mega Weapon in the NA version has its name corrected into B. Fist.
- In the NA version, a Cipher Mail for the LibraScalesSP Battle Card cannot be sent due to an improper censor. This has been corrected and can be sent.
Mega Man Star Force 2
North American version changes
- All voice lines in the title screen are removed.
- All voice lines when MegaMan performs Tribe On are removed.
- All voice lines in the All Icons Congratulations screen have been removed.
- The numbers on the bottom left of Battle Cards in Library have been removed. These IDs were used to input the card in the Star Carrier toy.
- A number of Power Up Data Wave Command Cards are from progression in the Star Carrier, so they cannot be normally found if only the game is available. But all the Power Up Data inputs can still be inputted in NA games.
- The Brother Band had a second screen of Profile info that was removed. They could be inputed in Geo's home console and the menu. They cover: Favorite food, Hometown, Recent Interests, Favorite TV Show, Favorite phrase,
- 5 other objects in the game can also be inputed Words and viewed by Brothers in their games. They were of: Favorite celebrity, Dislikes, Words to live by, Treasured item, Best physical feature.
- The Event Brothers also had extra info which now can't be viewed.
- One input text has been left in when a mail is sent to Legendary Master Shin with "Moron!" and other rude interactions. It pulls a random preset word to fill the space.
- HumorWord/1 Ability has been removed. The humor dialogue in this game uses the removed Profile inputs.
European version changes
- All Wave Command Cards content have been removed.
- Blank Cards are not given in-game. Mystery Waves that used to give them now contain 2000z.
Mega Man Star Force 3
North American version changes
- All voices except certain menu ones have been replaced with an English voice cast.
- "Meteor Server Access" has been strangely redubbed as "Star Force Server Access", perhaps due to its Japanese name 流星サーバーアクセス (Ryusei Server Access) and some references to Ryusei have been changed to Star Force.
- All Umaboi snack references are removed, including the image in the School store.
- Most Noise Mod Gear features are inaccessible. White Cards are still accessible. Noise Cards and Purpose Cards cannot be accessed.
- The method to encounter RogueZZ has been changed. Due to the removal of sharing Purpose Cards with Team members, accessing the battle now requires a Title Screen input with the first row of stars.
- All Secret Satellite Server features are inaccessible. Transformation Archive and Battle Card Database cannot be accessed.
European version changes
There is no European release of Mega Man Star Force 3.
