Rockman EXE Legend of Network ロックマン エグゼ レジェンド オブ ネットワーク |
Rockman EXE Legend of Network (AKA Mega Man Battle Network Legend of Network) is the second original mobile phone game and the first traditional game to come out after the series' conclusion in Battle Network 6. It uses continuity from Phantom of Network and the GBA games that came after it, taking place before the events of Mega Man Battle Network 6.
The game’s 8 story chapters are denoted by these respective bosses at the end:
- ThunderMan - "Mission: NetPatrol!"
- AquaMan - "A Wish to the Gods"
- TomahawkMan - "Perilous Part-time Job!"
- SearchMan - "From Sharo with Love"
- ProtoMan - "Reunions of Their Own"
- RideMan - "The Network Legend"
- FlameMan - "Revival of the Super-Ancient Civilization"
- Final Boss - "Connected Hearts"
After completing the story, the game can be upgraded to Chapter 8+, which contains the postgame. This has the game in the end state of Chapter 8 but new areas can be unlocked.

Notes
- The game has two versions, a J2ME (Java-based) version released on i-mode, and a BREW (native) version released on EZweb. Also, depending on the company the phone is from, the sound output quality may differ.
- In the EZweb version, the game has an animated moving background in Net areas and battles. In the i-mode version, the game doesn't have a moving background and only has a flat color like in Phantom of Network.
- The game was initially released on October 2, 2006 on i-mode. To play the game, a monthly subscription (¥315/month) was required. Together with the main game, a free trial version was released which features a battle tutorial. On October 4, 2007, the game and the trial version were re-released on EZweb as native BREW applications. This version also requires a monthly subscription (¥315/month) to play. On November 2, 2009, the game was re-released again on i-mode, this time as a single purchase version.
