Mega Man Battle Network 6 is the final main game in the Mega Man Battle Network series. In Japan, the game boasted the Navi Link System, a connectivity feature with the LiNK PET_EX toy and Battle Chip Stadium arcade game.

The Japanese version saw multiple release variations for this game:

  • Rockman EXE 6 came with an additional gift depending on the retailer it was purchased from: Rockman Zero Modification card (Ito-Yokado), Dark Rockman Modification card (Toys 'R' Us).
  • Rockman EXE 6 CyberBeast Glaga Beast Link Gate DX Edition and Rockman EXE 6 CyberBeast Falzer Beast Link Gate DX Edition were able for purchase on e-Capcom. The game came with a special Beast Link Gate Hikari Netto ver. and BattleChips.
