Beast Out (獣化, read as ビーストアウト Beast Out), also known as Beast Out System (獣化システム Beast Form System)[1] is a transformation system in Mega Man Battle Network 6. They can be paired up with the Cross System for even more tricks.
How to Use
By pressing the Beast Button in the Custom Screen, MegaMan will go into his Beast form. At the moment of transformation, he will cancel out of any action he's in.
At the Emotion Window counter's full power, MegaMan can stay in Beast Out for 3 turns. It expires when the EmotionCounter is 0 at the opening of the Custom Screen. If he's on the Net, the count he leaves the battle at will carry into the next fight. Going into battles afterwards will restore the EmotionCounter 1 point at a time.
Once those turns are up, MegaMan reverts back to his base form and enter Tired emotion. While Tired, MegaMan can't go into Full Synchro or Anger emotion. Trying to Beast Out again will go into Beast Over.
Beast Out
Each version has their own Beast form. MegaMan no longer has a B Button PowerAttack. Instead, MegaMan can perform A Button PowerAttack with None chips to perform a Beast Special Move.
Cybeast Gregar
Cybeast Falzar
Cross Beast
Cross Beast (クロスビースト), AKA “Cross Cybeast”, is a form made when Beast Out combine with the Cross System. This can occur in any order, MegaMan can go from Beast Out into a Cross, or a Cross into Beast Out. Along with the Beast Out abilities, he shares the same abilities as the normal Cross except they no longer have their B Button PowerAttack. Instead, each Cross Beast has their own A Button PowerAttack Special Move.
When MegaMan loses his Beast Out due to the turn limit, the Cross is lost as well. But if the Cross is lost due to weakness, MegaMan will become his normal Beast Out.
Beast Over
When MegaMan's EmotionCounter is at 0 and he's in Tired emotion, he can go into Beast Over (超獣化, read as ビーストオーバー Beast Over)[2]. Unlike normal Beast Out, this will overwrite the current Cross. This form will last for 1 turn until the Custom Gauge is filled, where the Custom Screen will automatically open.
MegaMan gains the abilities of the original Beast Out along with these effects:
- MegaMan is Invincible.
- Instead of non-dimming None chips gain +30, they will x2 its attack power.
- MegaMan moves and uses the buster on his own. The player can't control him but can still send chips, although it may be delayed.
- VariableSword and NeoVariable will use a command by itself without player input.
Once the Custom Screen is opened, MegaMan will enter Very Tired emotion. He cannot go into Cross or Beast forms anymore. His Buster Attack becomes 1, and he will lose 1 HP every frame (60 HP per second).
Beast Link Gate
While having the Beast Link Gate attached, MegaMan will stay in Beast Form for an unlimited amount of turns. There’s also no way to turn into base form MegaMan. He’ll be in Beast Form in the MegaMan menu, and will have the enemy tag as GBeast/FBeast in Network Duels.
Trivia
- The Rockman EXE 6 TGS 2005 trailer showed some early versions of Beast Out:
- Chips gain a x2 attack boost. Lock-on attacks were to give MegaMan invincibility when he moves in.
- Falzar Beast had a variation of Gregar’s Buster shooting feathers instead of a spreading attack.
- In the game data, "Beast Out" (ビーストアウト) is also named as the special chip for Crossover Battle 2.
