Style Change is the main transformation system of Mega Man Battle Network 2. MegaMan will receive his first Style Change in Chapter 4, during ShadowMan's stage. Up to 2 Styles can be stored at a time.
Elements
There are 4 possible elements for a Style to have. The Style's element determines MegaMan's new Power Attack. There is also 1 special BattleChip that MegaMan can use if he's a specific element.
Heat
- Weakness: Aqua
- MegaMan can walk over Lava panels.
- Can use BigRedWave.
- Power Attack: Flamethrower.
Aqua
- Weakness: Elec
- Can use FreezeBomb.
- Power Attack: Bubbler.
Elec
- Weakness: Wood
- Can use Sparker.
- Power Attack: Zap Ring. Paralyzes.
Wood
- Weakness: Fire
- MegaMan will recover HP while on Grass panels.
- Can use GaiaSword.
- Power Attack: Twister. Can hit up to 8 times.
Style Types
There are 4 different types for a Style to have.
Guts Style

- Elemental Power Attacks does not count.

- 30 pt: Use ADD function. Number of chips selected is not counted.

- 5pt: Don't flinch aback in battle.

Hub Style

Requirement
|
All V3 Navis except Bass must be defeated (to confirm, talk to the girl behind the trees in ACDC Town). Once completed, MegaMan's next Style Change will be Hub Style. You can only obtain Hub Style once.

MegaMan's HP is halved and gains the following abilities:
- Buster Attack Level is x2, up to 10. Rapid is always set to 1.
- MegaMan does not flinch aback.
- Start the battle with 10 slots in the Custom Screen.
- Up to 8 Navi Chips can be put in your folders.
- Start battles with a Barrier.
- B+Left: Shield.

Trading
You can trade Styles in the Network menu. If you trade the same Style to each other, MegaMan will comment on it.
