Command Codes are input commands that can be performed with the buttons while using a BattleChip or Battle Card, typically powering up the attack or adding an additional effect. These commands are typically secret, rarely hinted at by characters in the game, and were revealed mainly in the official strategy guides.

In Mega Man Battle Network 5 and 6, a sound was given to Navi Chips confirming their input.

BeastMan series During WildRush, Press A or B while a claw or BeastMan's head is on a panel to do an extra hit to that panel. Alternate A and B for better results.
  • Can be done multiple times on the same panel. Each button press is 1 extra hit and it registers in every frame of the animation, up to 14 hits can be done to a single enemy.
DesertMan series
  • Press Down + Right + A to send the upper LionHead downward.
  • Press Up + Right + A to send the lower Lion Head upward.
FlameMan series
  • Hold Up or Down on the + Control Pad to control the trajectory of FireBreath as it moves.
  • Hold down B and press Up, Right, or Down to spread Fire Breath in the two columns after the first one.
    • Press Up to spread FireBreath to the rows above FlameMan.
    • Press Right to spread FireBreath in the row that FlameMan is in.
    • Press Down to spread FireBreath to the rows below FlameMan.
    • Pressing Up, Right, or Down once creates one FireBreath panel and pressing twice creates two panel in that row, but pressing the same direction twice consecutively is not registered. For an easy full spread, simply hold B and rotate the + Control Pad.
MetalMan series Before MetalMan attacks with MetalFist, hold A and use the + Control Pad to move the target panel.
JapanMan series While JapanMan is doing his ThousandSpear, quickly press A and B alternating, starting with A. Consecutive same button presses are not registered.
  • After the initial 3 slashes, JapanMan will do 1 extra slash if 6 or 7 buttons were pressed, or 2 extra slashes if 8 or more buttons were pressed. Then, if 3 or more buttons were pressed during the extra slashes, JapanMan will tack on 1 extra hit before the final extending spear attack, for a maximum of 7 total hits.
Punk For Punk, his attack options will change depending if you obtained Famous’ Wristband from the Number Trader (90690648) and will do x2 its base damage.
  • MadRoller: Default move without Wristband.
  • MadWaveRoller: Activates when MegaMan’s HP is in the red. Default move after obtaining Wristband.
  • Shield&Chain: Before Punk attacks, press Left + B.
  • PunkChain: Hold your B Button Power Attack and position yourself on the middle of your back-most column, then use the chip.
  • Double-Go-Round: Requires Wristband. After performing the conditions for Punk Chain but before Punk attacks, press Down, Right, Down, Right.
DeltaRay Press A when (but not after) ProtoMan's slashing particles appear, can go up to 2 additional slashes. The timing for these inputs are tight and cannot be button mashed.

Extra

  • Timing Guard: If MegaMan is on the receiving end of a Screen Dimming attack, press Left at the moment of impact to halve damage from the attack. This can be used multiple times during the dimming.

WoodMan series Press A + B + Down when WoodMan lands for an extra set of DeathForest towers. This can be button mashed.
ShadeMan series Before ShadeMan attacks, press to have CrushNoise:
  • Paralyze: Down, Down-right, Right + A
  • Confuse: Down, Down-left, Left + A
  • Forced Movement Bug: Don't press anything
LaserManDS & LaserManSP Hold A and press a direction for PowerDownLaser:
  • Up: (Brown laser) Reduce target's Buster Attack, Speed and Charge to 1.
  • Down: (Green-blue laser) Remove target's SuperArmor, AirShoes, FloatShoes, UnderShirt, and any B+Left abilities. If it removes UnderShirt and they drop to 0 HP, it will delete them on impact.
  • Left: (Red laser) Reduce the opponent's Custom Screen chip slots by 1.
  • Right: (Yellow laser) If the target has Patch Cards, defaults target's B Button PowerAttack into ChargeShot.

  • This chip will trigger AntiNavi but cannot be boosted with Navi+20.

Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation

A number of Commands from MMBN4 has been removed.

When using the chip, continue to hold the A Button and enter the command:

  • Right: Murian attacks when the enemy is frozen.
  • Up: Murian attacks all enemies when attacked.
DoubleStone Press a direction upon use to change the placement of the boulders:
  • None: Summon on panel ahead and 2 panels ahead of that.
  • Left: Summon farthest on left, and closest on right.
  • Right: Summon farthest on right, and closest on left.

Mega Man Star Force 3

JackCorvus & QueenVirgo series Having the other card in the Custom Screen will increase the number of hits the card will do.
WingBlade Before Acid Ace attacks, press to use:
  • Lock-OnSword: L, L, R (invis-pierce)
  • AcidLaser: R, R, L (multi-hit)
