This page is a list of glitches that appear in Rockman EXE Phantom of Network.

Major glitches

Double Charge Shot

This section is under construction.
The information may not be complete or 100% accurate.
Determine which attacks this works with.

When the Custom Screen is opened on the same frame that a Charge Shot is about to be fired, after closing the Custom Screen, the Charge Shot will be fired twice. This only works with certain Charge Shots.

Minor glitches

Visual Errors

Wrong Face Portrait

During Chapter 8, before the rematch with ShadowMan in the boss rush, Lan says "In!" instead of MegaMan.

2004 version ?

2009 version Yes

Text Issues

Wrong Quiz Answer

During Request BBS #47: "Quiz King Challenge", the answers for question #4 (which color is the Dogma virus) are swapped. The answers are Yellow and Green and the correct answer should be Green, but this is treated as incorrect by the game.

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Seeking BugFrags text

During Request BBS #53: "Seeking BugFrags", there are a few typos.

  • If you try to give BugFrags, but do not have the required 150; the client will claim you don't have 300 BugFrags, which is the wrong amount.
  • The reward given is called "Custom+2", but the Skill Program's proper name is Custom2.
Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Zennys & BugFrags Cap

Internally, the game allows the player to hold up to 9999999 (7 digits) Zennys and BugFrags. However, the values displayed on the PET Screen and in shops are capped to 999999 (6 digits).

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Missing Regular Chip Icon

In consecutive battles only, the Regular Chip will appear in the Custom Screen during the first turn as normal, but will not have the red frame marking it as a Regular Chip drawn on top of it.

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Disappearing Jack In

During Chapter 6, the player cannot jack into the surveillance system in IPC Admin Room. In Chapter 7 and on, it once again becomes possible to jack in.

This is likely unintended, as the surveillance system has no plot relevance after Chapter 5, and the Mr. Prog inside it has unique dialogue for Chapter 6.

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Incorrect battle

During Request BBS #26: "Yet another treasure map!", if the player chooses the wrong option more than once, the game will start the wrong battle (battle #0 instead of battle #89). The wrong battle has two Mettaurs, while the correct battle has a WindBox, Mettaur and KillPlant. This happens because in the request script, two parameters for the start battle command were accidentally swapped.

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

FireMan Request glitches

These are glitches that occur in Request BBS #52: "..................".

Disappearing Mystery Data

When FireMan is defeated in the request, a BMD in Battle Machine Comp 3 containing 5 BugFrags will permanently despawn. This happens due to an incorrect flag being set in the request script.

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Early receive all E-Mails

When FireMan is defeated in the request, the player will receive the final two E-Mails early. This happens due to a script error in the Request BBS script: instead of triggering effect 13 (explosion effect), the script triggers command 13 (receive e-mail).

Applies to:
2004 version ?
2005 version ?
2009 version Yes

Lingering Navi

When the player loses to FireMan in the request, declines a rematch, then talks to the disguise Navi again for a rematch, the disguise Navi will not be removed from the field and will persist during the cutscene. It will also linger after defeating FireMan, and can be talked to again to trigger another rematch.

Once the player opens the Request BBS again after defeating FireMan, the lingering Navi will be removed.
