Tournaments play a key role to progress in Rockman EXE 4.5: Real Operation. Each tournament pits the player’s Navi against 3 of the 7 other Navis in the tournament roster.
- When two other NPC Navis fight in a tournament, the outcome of the battle is determined by random chance.
- Each tournament will have one front-runner added to the roster. This front-runner has a high chance of beating any opponent.
- The Gold Tournament and Official Tournament have a 4.69% chance for ShadowMan to participate as a rare contestant. ShadowMan is guaranteed to beat any normal contestant and has a high chance of beating the front-runner.
- The Under Tournament will always have Bass participate. Unlike a regular front-runner, Bass is guaranteed to beat all opponents and appear during the finals.
- Due to a glitch, the game will almost always pick the same front-runner even when there are two options. To fight the other front-runner, the player needs to be playing as that Navi to force the other front-runner to appear.
After winning the tournament, the player is able to spin a roulette to get a BattleChip.
Everyday Tournaments
These tournaments can be played every day during these time windows: (9AM-9:59AM, 1PM-1:59PM, 4PM-4:59PM, 8PM-8:59PM). Players can win Tickets to temporarily pass through gates until they jack out. Tickets carry over between playable Navis.
In Everyday Tournaments, there is no results screen after each battle, so you are unable to receive Zennys or chips from defeating Navis.

Weekend Tournaments
These tournaments require you register on a weekday (from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM), then the actual tournament can be played during the weekend. Each Navi can only register for one tournament at a time, and only one Navi can register for any tournament each day. (However, when a Navi is first offered the chance to register for the Official Tournament as part of the story, these restrictions can be bypassed.)
The players can obtain Licenses to pass through gates even after the Navi jacks out. Licenses do not carry over between playable Navis.
Battles in the weekend tournaments have results screens after each battle, so you can receive Zennys and chips from defeating Navis.
After defeating a Navi in a weekend tournament, they will be able to appear on the Net for a rematch. Any unlocked rematches will be available to all playable Navis.
