Details
On Air allows the player to connect locally to in game brothers, up to 6 and granting benefits to every connected player. The connection created during On Air is a continuous mode and requires all brothers to remain in proximity. While connected On Air, other multiplayer features are disabled, meaning no battling or trading until On Air ends. Changes to the brothers in game, such as game progression or favorite cards need to be updated manually from the On Air Menu, similar to how Wi-Fi Brothers update information.
Connectivity
Brothers connected On Air are encouraged to have some of the same chips in their folders. When brothers share the same chip in their folders, those chips gain a rank, denoted by a star. For every brother who share the same chip in their folder, it gains another rank, up to 6. Ranks increase the chip's power in battle, though chips gained through brother roulette are not boosted On Air. Another bonus is the option to use your brother's currently selected B. Combo (Best Combo) instead of opting for the roulette during multiplayer battles. In game battles only allow usage of B. Combo instead of roulette when On Air. However when selecting one brother's B. Combo, you are not allowed to use any other brother card as a B. Combo for the duration of the multiplayer battle.
Card Boosts
Battle Cards gain attack power for every brother having that card in their folder, from 1 Star to 6 Stars. Support Cards may also show increase in rank though do not show any benefit as they lack attack power. Cards Boosted while On Air can be further boosted with the Japanese Exclusive Wave Scanner, creating devastating combos not possible normally.
