These are the features that require connectivity in Mega Man Battle Network 6.
Network Menu
MMBN6 can be played via the traditional Link Cable method or using the Wireless Adapter. Wireless Adapter will use a Host and Client system. Along with a custom name and message, if a Navi Link System via Beast Link Gate is being used, their head icon will replace MegaMan's.
- NetBattle: If the Beast Link Gate is used for the connection, the players can slot in chips for the battles.
- SnglBattl: Have one battle.
- TrplBattl: Have up to three battles, the player who wins 2/3 first wins the match.
- (GBA) RandBattl: The players play a single battle randomly picked using an assortment of preset Navi Customizer Parts and BattleChips. There are 3 ranks to choose from.
- Practice: Have the battle(s) against another player. Does not count towards Win/Lose record.
- Battle: Have the battle(s) against another player. The losing player will forfeit a chip in their Pack to their opponent. Will count towards Win/Lose record. This option cannot be selected if there are no non-Giga Class Chips in the Pack.
- Compare
- CompLibry: Linking up will fill up the players' Libraries with blue text and no chip image. This will count as completing the Library, so Title Screen Marks will be added.
- CompRcrd: Linking up will enter the overall time record for SP bosses between players. Can link up regardless of version. This is the only way to power up opposite version SP chips. You can enter a personal time record even if it is lower than the overall record.
- Trade
- BattlChps: Trade BattleChips between players.
- Program: Trade Navi Customizer Parts between players.
- Folder: The player can pick one of their folder and send a copy of it to become the other player's Extra Folder. The folder cannot contain a GigaChip, also the Regular and Tag Chip selections will not carry over.
NetBattle Fields
The Network Battlefield selection will slightly differ depending on Single or Triple Battle.
Crossover Battle 2
The Japanese version of Mega Man Battle Network 6 can use the Wireless Adapter and play Crossover Battle 2 with Shin Bokura no Taiyoh: Gyakushuu no Sabata.
