For people not aware, BN5 GBA had the Navi Change feature present in the DS version. But it was greatly expanded on in the DS version. One thing you may have noticed, Megaman reverts to his base form when you navi change in the DS version, which some people found to be very annoying when you still have soul time to use. The GBA version kept your status when Navi Changing from the Custom Screen, which leads to some interesting stuff. In the battle, when reverting back to t-hawk Soul Megaman from a navi, T-hawk Soul's Grass Stage effect re-activates each time. Even when the navi is deleted mid battle, it once again reactivates. After checking in Team Protoman, the same happens with Search Soul with "lock on", which if you aren't aware, removes invis/blinking/underground status from enemies. These happen because these souls have effects that activate upon first using the soul. As it saves your state, it reloads your soul upon switching back to mega. I guess this is why Megaman reverts to Base form in the DS version. No way they would've overlooked this glitch, but I think this is the first instance of someone pointing it out. Be sure to check the TREZ wiki for any information of the EXE peripherals. Everyone that you can do with them has been tested and jotted down by me personally, and others who have helped in wanting to jot down EVERYTHING. Bugs to test
Gridman omega
- After defeating Footman V3 , Footman SP will not appear in the first plug-in, and it will appear by plugging in and plugging out once.
- The exact condition to set the "5" Navi SP appearance flag is "plug out after defeating V3". Other Navi V3s naturally meet the conditions by re-plugging in to fight on the Internet, but only Footman V3, which fights in the real world, must perform extra plug-ins to meet the plug-out condition.
- In a play that emphasizes efficiency like RTA, you will immediately plug in at Oran Island and go to Oran Island area 2 after defeating V3 in the abandoned mine , but if you overlook the existence of this bug, no matter how long you look for SP I end up wasting my time without being able to meet.
Nebula Gray snake attack

Chapter 4 lock
- The condition is that Navi is replaced by Bruce (Kernel) in the story. library compare
An issue wherein some of the program advance memos that had already been registered may disappear when performing a library comparison via communication. Memos that have disappeared will not be registered even if you use PA again, and you will not be able to complete the memo . Comparing again may fix it, but sometimes it doesn't.
Bad folder
- After clearing the game, the sub-folder "Akunin Folder" that you can get from Evil Navi in Oran Island Area 3. Equipping this folder may, in rare cases, cause some of the dark chips in the rucksack (the same dark chips in the Akunin folder?) to disappear.
According to additional reports, if you turn off the power without saving after trading chips via communication, the same chips as those in the folder will be lost.
Going off screen
The condition is that the opponent is not in a bad state and in a super armor state in a communication battle. Use Steel Panish (Revenge) to hit the pile driver from both sides while the opponent is being blown away while leaning back. At that time, you must give the opponent a lethal dose with the total damage of the pile driver. Then the opponent activates Dark Soul and the main body is blown off the screen. It seems that after 10 turns (about 80 seconds), it will go around and be blown away from the back of its own area. Please note that it may freeze in some cases . Reproducible in other ways. The condition is that the opponent is not in Super Armor state (no good or bad relationship). Darksoul custom screen

Randomized folder

As usual, this system is bugged. The game doesn't properly separate the bits when checking the spawn chance, so choosing the second reward group or higher will result in the Mystery Data always spawning.
Bass Instant Kill in BN5?
I've been playing Battle Network 5 Protoman and practicing against Bass to beat him consistently. I was using Chaos Search to launch several DarkCircs—I had already landed one or two, but I mistimed the last one and spawned Dark Megaman. I went into the custom menu to refresh my chips and did a normal Search Soul, and when I started the battle, Dark Megaman was gone. However, I noticed that Bass' health quickly started draining when he hovered over the middle panel on the left, and stopped when he left the panel. I thought it was some artifact of a chip used at one point or another, but a moment later, he went back to that panel and his HP rapidly dropped from 2000 to 0. It wasn't instant, but it was faster than using Django or other HP-draining chip. Does anyone have any idea what happened and if it could potentially be replicated?
CloudMan flaw?

So I was trying to beat Bass XX with Shadowman in my attempts to create one of the clips for Boss fights ally edition (no using Megaman). And for some reason in one of the deleted clips, Cloudman chip does not activate its desired effect when it could potentially mean a 5 hit combo and here is the answer to it. Cloudman chip only spawn clouds BEHIND opponents, not in front of them. This hint might have easily be found for liberation mission in surrounded but don't usually use Navi chips during Liberation Missions. And in Boss fights, this kind of thing happens only when fighting Bass, ProtoMan and LarkMan (possibly if timed right). TODO: Is this a glitch?
If you uncompress a navicust part while the compress size is still on the grid, you can fit other parts on the space, but the game will still think the part is the uncompressed size. so in this I got custom bug from custom1 and custom 2 even though it should be bug-less
Will regular chips change? Degree of risk -

During the Liberate Mission combat, face left and use Area Steal twice. It is useless if the area cannot be taken completely, so the enemy must be in the last row on the left. Then, let Rockman stand in the center leftmost row and shoot the PA big noise. Then the range is reversed to the own area ….

(Courtesy of Nameless Z-2) If you use a darkening chip (Magnum, for example) before entering the custom screen, and enter the custom screen just before it goes dark, you can enter the custom screen without activating it, and Magnum will activate right after the battle resumes when you finish customizing. This can be used to feint your opponent, or to carry over unused chips from a Liberate Mission to the next one, although the timing is difficult.

- Let's say that it is a footman game as an example of a report. Dark Soul, who became an enemy due to Chaos Unison Charge Mistake, set Kawarimi, and even if Dark Soul disappeared over time, Kawarimi's trap fell into the judgment groove and Footman became invincible. It probably occurs in other navigators as well.
- Meddy activates instantly. gridman won't trigger but ???? disappears from dark soul leaves
- The condition is that the super armor is installed. If you forcibly move to the panel where Shademan is while Shademan is in your area and shooting crash noises, the invincibility period will disappear and you will receive continuous damage and almost instantly die.
- During battle, Vacuum Fan 3 is sometimes called Wind Box 3.
- When the final 15th turn is reached in a communication battle and the moment the forced termination count reaches 0, the user is deleted for some reason.
- During the battle with Bruce, Deathmatch 2 is activated at the moment Bruce comes in front of you and sets up a wide sword. The squares other than Rockman and Bruce are hole panels, and the squares where Bruce was originally become crack panels. If you don't move as it is, it will come to the square in front of you where Bruce was left and set up a wide sword again. At this point, the cracked panel that Bruce was based on becomes a hole panel, and even if he returns from the wide sword, there is no panel, so he can't move while leaning back. Bugs tested not work but can try again
- Bug that blows you off the screen. It happens when the opponent's HP becomes 0 with Pile Driver while the opponent is knocked down by Steel Punish (Revenge).
Be careful as it sometimes freezes or loses data.
- Chaos Unison bug. It freezes if it is deleted by a virus at the same time as chaos unison failure.
- If you activate Shadow Chaos' Dark Invisibility at the moment you receive a footman's tackle attack, it will be instantly deleted. It may also occur with other darkening chips.
- If you enter the custom screen when you are in a state where you cannot move due to timpani in a communication match, you will not be able to move until the unison is canceled or the battle ends.
- In the blues version of Forte Cross Rockman, if you shoot an old man in front of you with a charging shooting buster, it will disappear without triggering the divine punishment.
- If you hit a bomb boy with a bomb and hit it with a fujin racket, it will be blown to the edge of the screen and won't move. It seems like it's the bomb that doesn't move?

Retron Sq = custom console with emulator
Just booted up TP on my Retron Sq and walked around, used the chip, it deletes the cactus but not the Bugtank (i missed), battle end screen shows up, the bugtank is still throwing bombs, NEVER had anything like this happen before
It seems to trigger off only hitting and deleting a backrow cactikill with 2 enemies on screen
