==How to Input==

===Multiplayer===
In a connection with another player, if a player has Wave Command Cards active in their set: A Star Mark will appear next to the cursor in the menu.

==Blank Cards==

These cards found in within the game and can be overwritten into Battle Cards. The cards ignore the 1 card of a kind limit.

==DX Cards==

These cards will transform SP bosses into their DX level, guaranteeing their SP card drops. There is a special wallpaper reward if all DX bosses are defeated. Only one card can be active at a time. The effect will only last until the game is reset.

==G Cards==

These cards will guarantee viruses to appear in their G form, guaranteeing their Star Card drops. Only one card can be active at a time. The effect will only last until the game is reset.

==Item Cards==
These cards will give Battle Cards, Sub Cards, or Zennys. Each card can only be used once per save, with the exception of #34-36, which changes a shop's stock.

==Mega Man Data Cards==

These cards give Mega Man extra stat boosts and add a second screen in the Mega menu. They can be turned ON and OFF at leisure.
*Initially the boosts are unlocked via progress in the Star Carrier toy. The progress would then be given as Touch Command codes to input into MMSF2. However, the maxed stats of the codes would later be published in a book.

The Mega Man Rogue card works similarly to the Mega Man Data Cards. However, The "Boost: 20" version will also give the option to start the battle in the [[Mega Man Rogue]] of that version. It is possible to just use the card boosts without starting in Mega Man Rogue.

==Notes==
* The Japanese WCC book, Ryusei no Rockman 2 Wave Command Card Perfect File, left out 16 cards and only lists a “Boost 15” card for Mega Man Rogue. Its North American equivalent however, Mega Man Star Force 2 Wave Command Card Kit, includes these 16 cards as “Secret Cards” and has the “Boost 20” card for Mega Man Rogue instead.
* The English Wave Command Card Kit lists the Item Card NPC names as romanization of their Japanese names instead of their localized English names.
* The English Wave Command Card Kit erronously left out the numbers on the Mega Man Data Cards. The proper input card was distributed on Prima's website.
