There are multiple '''Localization Changes''' made for the Mega Man Star Force series as they made their way to regions outside of Japan. Unless stated otherwise, most changes made to North American version also made it to European version.

==[[Mega Man Star Force]]==

===North American version changes===
*The menu voices have been changed and re-voiced.
*In the Folder menu, Geo will not tell the maximum amount of Mega and Giga Class Cards allowed when trying to add more than the limit.
*Mega menu no longer shows the current sum of LV stats for Attack, Rapid, Charge, Gauge, Mega Card, Giga Cards. Only the addition in parentheses are shown.
*The NA equivalent for the [[Glitches_in_Mega_Man_Star_Force#Glasses_of_Mystery_Cipher_Mail_oversight|Cipher Mail to obtain LibraScalesSP Battle Card]] cannot be sent due to an improper censor.
*All content regarding the [[Boktai_Crossover_(MMSF1)|Boktai Crossover]] has been made inaccessible. This includes [[Battle_Card_Info_(MMSF1)#Lunar_Knights_Cards| 18 Standard Battle Cards]], [[Mega_Weapon_(MMSF1)|2 Mega Weapons]] (FM Bracelet and SF Power), and Brother Bands that can add Charge+ to MegaMan's buster.
**The quest that opens in Chapter 7 to assist the Lunar Knights characters chase down a villain has been removed.
**Once a Brother Band with Lunar Knights is made, 4 Red Mystery Waves will appear throughout the game that can only be opened by sending a Sun Key from Lunar Knights.
**Multiple LK items can be found in Green Mystery Waves. Battle Cards and special items that can be E-Mailed for use in LK. Additionally, multiple MMSF items can be found in Lunar Knights that can be sent to MMSF.
*All interaction with the [[Wave Scanner]] toy cannot be accessed. This includes Scanner Data and powering up Battle Cards in battle.
**The Wave Scanner toy could connect with the microphone port on the DS, DS Lite, and DSi to send the Scanner game progress to give MegaMan extra stat boosts. The Scanner can also connect with the Transer toy for the full LV99 boost. 
**If the Scanner is still connected in battle, real-life Battle Cards can be scanned and depending on the cards, it can power up existing cards in the Custom Screen or replace them.

*French, German, Italian, Spanish language support has been added.
*The menu is no longer voiced. All menu voice lines are removed.
*Mega menu has been reverted back to the original Japanese version, so the current sum of LV stats are visible. However, some texts have been abbreviated.
*OxTackle Battle Card has been renamed into TaurusTcle, which is more localization name consistent.
*The S. Fist Mega Weapon has its name corrected into BublFist, but it is inconsistent with the abbreviation naming style of the other weapons.
*In the NA version, a [[Glitches_in_Mega_Man_Star_Force#Glasses_of_Mystery_Cipher_Mail_oversight|Cipher Mail for the LibraScalesSP Battle Card]] cannot be sent due to an improper censor. This has been corrected and can be sent.

===North American version changes===
*All voice lines in the title screen are removed.
*All voice lines when MegaMan performs [[Tribe On]] and Big Bangs are removed.
*All voice lines in the All Icons Congratulations screen have been removed.
*The numbers on the bottom left of Battle Cards in Library have been removed. These IDs were used to input the card in the Star Carrier toy.
*A number of Power Up Data [[Wave Command Cards]] are from progression in the Star Carrier, so they cannot be normally found if only the game is available. But all the Power Up Data inputs can still be inputted in NA games.
*The [[Brother_Band_(MMSF2)|Brother Band]] had a second screen of Profile info that was removed. These extra Word Boxes could be inputed in Geo's Room gaming system and the menu. They cover: Favorite food, Hometown, Recent Interests, Favorite TV Show, Favorite phrase.
**5 other objects throughout the game can be inputed Words and viewed by Brothers in their games. They were of: Favorite celebrity, Dislikes, Words to live by, Treasured item, Best physical feature.
**The Event Brothers also had extra info which now can't be viewed.
**One Word input text has been left in when a mail is sent to Legendary Master Shin with "Moron!" or another rude message. It pulls a preset Word to fill the space.
*HumorWord/1 Ability Wave has been removed. The humor dialogue in this game uses the removed Word inputs.

*French, German, Italian, Spanish language support has been added.
*All [[Wave Command Cards]] content have been removed.
**[[Blank Cards]] are not given in-game. Mystery Waves, Quests, and examining locations that used to give them now contain 2000z. The first Blank Card given by Aaron Borreal from the story however, is replaced with nothing.
**NPC in Alt. IFL Tower 2 ER is removed. Their shop used WCC to change their available stock.
**The Data Update text for completing SP bosses mentioned the DX bosses with Wave Command Cards. The part mentioning the WCC has been removed.

*A second screen upon boot up for "Licensed by Nintendo" and "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" has been added.
*All voices except certain menu ones have been replaced with an English voice cast.
**In Japanese version, the title voice changes once the story is cleared, from “Ryusei no Rockman 3” into “Shooting Star Rockman 3”. The NA version did no such change.
**"Meteor Server Access" has been strangely redubbed as "Star Force Server Access", perhaps due to its Japanese name, 流星サーバーアクセス Ryusei Server Access. Ryusei can be translated interchangeably between Meteor and Shooting Star. Some references in-game changed Ryusei to Star Force.
**Ace’s “Wave battle, ride on!” line when a VS Match begins is removed entirely instead of having an English equivalent.
*All Umaibou snack references are removed, including the pop-up image in the School store.
*The field sprites of the Omega-Xis Copies no longer have a recoiling back and getting deleted animation, now they just teleport away for deletion.
*Satella Police officers who have knocked out field sprites are replaced with them kneeling down.
*Extra profile data will fill in special flavor text throughout the game. This feature is removed in the English version. The following could be entered: Hometown, Favorite Sport, One-liner, Dislike Food, Favorite Game, Cipher Code, Magic Spell.
**HumorWord Ability has some dialogue removed that involved using the filled in Profile section. 
*Most [[Noise Mod Gear]] features are inaccessible. [[White Cards (MMSF3)|White Cards]] are still accessible. [[Noise Cards]] and [[Purpose Cards]] cannot be accessed.
**[[Bosses_in_Mega_Man_Star_Force_3#Special_Encounters|The method to encounter RogueZZ has been changed]]. Due to the removal of sharing Purpose Cards with Team members, accessing the battle now requires a Title Screen input with the top row of stars.
*All [[Secret Satellite Server]] features are inaccessible. [[Transformation Archive]] and [[Battle Card Database]] cannot be accessed.
**An NPC in WAZA whose purpose is to provide the second Access Port has been removed.
*The behavior of the WolfWoods card has been changed. In JP, WolfWoods will attack furthest down the row even if there’s no enemy. In NA, WolfWoods will always attempt to attack to attack the row that the first enemy or obstacle is on, this includes going out of bounds if the target is on the same row as the player Mega Man.
