The Sky-Hi Coliseum (スカイハイコロシアム) is a local multiplayer only mode in Mega Man Star Force 2. It's a casual party gameplay mode where 2 to 7 players will race to collect the most stars within a 3-minute time limit. It doesn't use the save's Folders or Abilities, but rather you battle only using the material given in the mode.
To start Sky-Hi Coliseum, go to the top floor of the Wilshire Hills Shopping Plaza and talk to Legendary Master Shin. One player must be Host and the others are Client.
How to Play
Objective: Collect Stars scattered on the field or take them from other players. The person with the most stars collected within the 3-minute session, wins the match.
- If the highest number of stars is tied, the one with the most remaining HP wins.
The action takes places on the field screen with battles being able to be initiated. Upon starting the match, all players' HPs are converted to 500.
- There are multiple stages to choose from: BgStageA, BgStageB, BgStageC, SmStageA, and SmStageB
- The Map Screen and Rankings Screen can be toggled using the R Button and L Button.
There are multiple things that are done during gameplay:
Action | Description |
---|---|
Stars | All players start with 3 stars. When picking up a star, there is also a chance to get a Speed Booster or a Star Bomb. |
Items | Items can be obtained in the field from a Blue Mystery Data, Gold Mystery Data (rare), or a Mr. Hertz. |
Battle | If 2 players' field sprites overlap, a Wave Battle will occur. The Custom Screen will instantly close after 10 seconds and it will only be a 1 turn battle (10 seconds, not counting dimming cards). The player who dealt the most damage in that turn wins the battle.
|
Folders | At the start of battle, all players have 12 Battle Cards in their folder. Picking up a Folder on the field will add 6 cards into the folder.
|
Star Bomb | When picking up a normal Star, there's a chance for it to be Star Bomb and attach itself to who picked it up. A timer counting down from 30 will show on it. If it hits 0, it will delete the holder and take all their stars.
|
Certain mechanics will take place depending on how well a player is doing:
- The 1st place player will hide the other players hidden on their map, unable to see their location.
- Theres a chance that when a deleted player respawns, they will get a text prompt. They will gain a explosive aura for 20 seconds and will start battles in Tribe King. However, if they have a Star Bomb, they cannot start in Tribe King.
