On Air

From The Rockman EXE Zone Wiki

In Mega Man Star Force 1, an exclusive local multiplayer feature called On Air (オン・エア) for better bonding with your brothers in game and encourage playing the game with friends in the same room.

Details

On Air allows the player to connect locally to in game Brother Bands, up to 6 and granting benefits to every connected player. The connection created during On Air is continuous and requires all brothers to remain in proximity.

Connectivity

While connected On Air, other multiplayer features are disabled, meaning no battling or trading until On Air ends. Changes to the brothers in game, such as game progression, folder changes or favorite cards need to be updated manually from the On Air Menu, similar to how Wi-Fi Brothers update information.

Records Sharing

When Brothers go On Air, their SP boss time records and Library are shared. The highest SP Mega Card attack power is shared among everyone.

  • This is the only way to receive boosted Records for the Admin SP cards of other versions, as there is no way to fight all three in one game.

Share Stars

When Brothers share the same chip in their folders, those chips gain a rank, denoted by a Share Star. For every Brother who share at least one of the same chip in their folder as you, it gains another rank, up to 6 stars. Ranks increase the chip's power in battle, though chips gained through Brother roulette are not boosted with On Air.

Support Cards may also show increase in rank though do not show any benefit as they lack attack power.

  • (JP) Cards Boosted while On Air can be further boosted with the Wave Scanner, creating devastating combos not possible normally.

Only one copy of the card is required for the Share Star rank boost. Having multiple of the same card will not add additional Share Stars.

Best Combo

Instead of picking the roulette during VS Matches, you can opt for the Brother's Best Combo. However, after selecting a Brother's Best Combo, you are not allowed to use any other Brother Force as a Best Combo for the duration of the battle.
