Rockman EXE 4.5 PvP Patch

About the Patch

The Rockman EXE 4.5 PvP Patch aims to bring a unique PvP experience to Rockman EXE 4.5 by:

  • Making the game's 21 Navis more distinct from one another by introducing new Battle Chip and Custom Screen interactions.
  • Porting balance changes introduced in later Battle Network games.
  • Adding new Battle Chips and removing or increasing the viability of Battle Chips that previously did not get much use.

Because this patch is meant for PvP only, all Navis will start with max HP and Buster Attack, and have all BattleChips in all available codes. No adjustments have been made to the PvE gameplay to make new BattleChips obtainable.

The patch is available through Tango's patch repository. Simply install Tango, load EXE4.5, and select either "Mega Man Battle Network 4.5: Real Operation (US) v1.1 + PvP Patch" or "EXE4.5 PvPパッチ". The patch is also available for download below for manual patching and alternate means for PvP.

Battle Updates
  • Chip break effects (eg. SerchMan, and RollArrow) now only break 1 chip instead of all chips.
  • Wind chips now delete barriers and auras.
  • Obstacles can no longer be spawned on the back column of the opponent's field.
  • The Custom Gauge now changes color if the speed has been changed from SloGauge or FstGauge.
    • The Custom Gauge turns green when slow and orange when fast.
  • Battle HP bug rescaled from 1 damage every 10/6/3 frames to 1 damage every 40/35/30/25/20/15/10 frames.
  • Custom HP bug rescaled from 1 damage every 6/4/3 frames to 1 damage every 40/30/20/10/5/3/2 frames.
  • Getting hit by a water attack on an ice panel now causes a frozen status effect.
    • While frozen, attacks that pierce guard deal 2x damage.
  • Electric attacks no longer do double damage on ice.
  • All Navis now have UnderShirt enabled.
  • The delay between B + Left shields has been increased from 0 frames to 40 frames.
  • FloatShoes now avoids poison panel damage.
