Cross (クロス), also distinguished as "Cross Megaman" (not to be confused with BN6's Cross System), is a permanent transformation in Mega Man Battle Network 5. This form replaces MegaMan’s base form, but still opens his access to his Double Soul and Chaos Unison forms, as well as this other Emotion Window states.

Gold BassCross MegaMan (Power-type) can be obtained in Team ProtoMan through:
- BN5GBA: BassCross MegaMan Mod Card.
- BN5DS: Have a BN5 GBA with the Bass icon on the title screen in the GBA Slot. Or a BN5 GBA with no save (No Continue option).

- (NA)(EU) Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django in the GBA slot.
- (JP) Shin Bokura no Taiyoh: Gyakushuu no Sabata (AKA Boktai 3) in the GBA slot.

- If Lan is operating outdoors or the center of Mt. Belenus, a sun appears in battle. MegaMan gets the following abilities:
- AutoHeal, MegaMan heals 10% of his HP before additional HP+ NCP after the battle.
- MegaMan's GunDelSol Power Attack drains x2.
- If MegaMan is holding a chip with an attack value, it gradually gains additional damage, up to +20. This will also carry to MegaMan's Double Souls.

- In Network Duels, instead of usual MegaMan enemy tag, the opponent will have BassCross MegaMan appear as BCMegaMn. SolCross MegaMan appears SCMegaMn.
