Seems like Capcom of Japan is on a roll–we don’t even have the second Mega Man Battle Network on Virtual Console yet, but Battle Network: Rockman EXE 3 and its counterpart, Battle Network: Rockman EXE 3 BLACK will already be launching on the Wii U eShop in Japan on December 17th.

Japanese Battle Network 2 arriving on Virtual Console (UPDATE)
Remember how Capcom community manager Brett Elston said that the release of Mega Man Battle Network 2 on the Wii U Virtual Console might not make 2014? Well, it looks like Japanese players won’t have to wait that long after all, because Battle Network: Rockman EXE 2‘s Japanese release date has been announced. The game will be launching on the eShop one week from now, on 12th November 2014.

Today is August 12th, 2014. Why is this day special? It’s The Rockman EXE Zone’s 8th anniversary. Way back in 2006, megarock.exe and Greiga Master started this forum to create a community for all kinds of EXE fans. European release date Mega Man Battle Network
It’s almost here! The first GBA game, Mega Man Battle Network, will be released on Wii U Virtual Console this Thursday, July 24th 2014. Like the other GBA games, the game will be priced at €6.99.
Furthermore, even though this is the European release, players will receive the North American version of the game. Owners of the original GBA game will notice that it does not show the Ubisoft logo when you start up the game. Aside from that, the games are identical.
The North American release dates for the MMBN games are still up in the air. We’ll keep you posted!
Capcom Special Selection: Rockman EXE unveiled
Capcom today announced that Capcom Special Selection: Rockman EXE, a soundtrack focusing on the first Mega Man Battle Network game will be released on September 25th, together with a Rockman Xover soundtrack.
The soundtrack itself contains a number of tracks from Mega Man Battle Network (1), as well as Operate Shooting Star’s rendition of THEME OF ROCKMAN EXE. The latter debuts the game’s music on a physical disc. It will also come with a 32-page, B5-sized artwork book containing unreleased artwork that was not included in the Mega Man Battle Network Official Complete Works.

New MMBN Speedrun Marathon Coming Your Way
Want to see the MMBN games played really, really fast in rapid succession for a good cause? In just one month, the speedrunning group TeamBN will be ripping yet again through all six main Mega Man Battle Network games, spin-offs, fangames, and for the first time, all of Mega Man Star Force as well. As usual, you will be able to donate during the marathon, with all donations going to Doctors Without Borders. There will be donation incentives as well.
The marathon is set to start on July 18th at 5:30 PM UTC (that’s 1:30 PM EDT, 10:30 AM PDT and 7:30 PM CEST) and will run for approximately 37 hours. The current list of games being played is as follows:
More Battle Network games coming to Virtual Console
Capcom may not have an E3 press conference, but it seems that won’t stop them from dropping a few bombs! Capcom community manager Brett Elston has just posted an update detailing Capcom’s Virtual Console plans for the near future. Among other games, a number of MMBN games will be joining BN3 on the Wii U Virtual Console:
