Everyone’s favorite MMBN game, Mega Man Battle Network 4, will be released on the Wii U eShop in Japan on March 25th. BN4 may have been notorious in the West for being the black sheep of the series; however, it was the best selling installment in the series. So now that the first three games are on the eShop, it’s no surprise that Capcom is following up with the fourth one.
Rockman EXE 4: Tournament Red Sun and Rockman EXE 4: Tournament Blue Moon will go for the usual price of ¥702. That means it will most likely go for $7.99, £6.29 and €6.99 in the US, the UK and the rest of Europe respectively, if Capcom decides to bring the game over. However, we will most likely have to wait for BN3 to come out first (as well as BN2, for all you Europeans out there).
As a reminder, Battle Network 2 and Battle Network 3 allowed access to all multiplayer-only and event-only chips by entering the Network menu. At the moment, it’s unclear whether the same will be done for Battle Network 4. BN4 also has a fair bit of connectivity beyond just chips, so it remains to be seen how much of it will be accessible in the Wii U versions. Check back later for more info!
UPDATE: Virtual Console info pages have gone up on the Nintendo website! Just like EXE2 and EXE3 before it, the Virtual Console version of EXE4 will allow access to unobtainable chips simply by entering the Comm menu. Furthermore, by pressing L, Left and Start on the title screen, it becomes possible to fight Forte XX until you reset the game, which was only possible in the GBA version with use of the e-Reader.
